New Hope Preschool believes that the early years of life are the opportune time to plant seeds of faith, to teach life-long prayer habits and to instill the Fruits of the Spirit. We know from Proverbs 22:6 that if we ..."train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it." Our preschoolers share monthly chapel times as well as daily Bible Circles. New Hope Preschool believes that children are God's greatest blessing, and we are privileged to help your child begin or cultivate a relationship with our Risen Savior!
BGMC is the Assemblies of God compassion and missions program for boys and girls that instills a heart of compassion to reach the lost through praying, giving, and going. All funds raised through BGMC go to meet critical needs around the world such as feeding programs, water wells, Bible schools, curriculum, and whatever else a missionary needs in their part of the world. At New Hope Preschool, we use materials from Digging Into The Bible in One Year in order to take kids on a whirlwind journey from the book of Genesis to the book of Revelation. Our preschoolers experience a relationship with God through the eyes of ordinary people from the Bible. Kids will discover that they are a lot like people God has always loves and worked through. New Hope Preschool uses an assortment of curricula, books, songs, and a variety of resources to teach weekly themes and monthly academic concepts. Our intent with this diverse method is to reach the individual learning styles of all of the children who are in our care. Find out more about some of the methods we use below.
New Hope Preschool has chosen to utilize the curriculum from Handwriting Without Tears® to teach the alphabetic principal and to help develop the find motor skills and handwriting of our students. Handwriting Without Tears is a curriculum that draws from years of innovation and research to provide developmentally appropriate, multisensory strategies for early writing. The program follows research of how children learn best and includes materials that address all styles of learning. More than three million students benefit from the Handwriting Without Tears® program each year. For more information on Handwriting Without Tears®, please click here.
At New Hope Preschool we work hard to teach your child how to successfully manage their emotions. With the Emotional ABC's, we help your child learn School Readiness: giving them the ability to self-sooth and work through emotions. These are the foundation for social and academic success. The Emotional ABC's also teaches Impulse Control: children need simple tools in order to slow themselves down and identify what they are feeling before they take action. Lastly, our preschoolers learn about Frustration and Acting Out: children become frustrated when they can't recognize their emotions or when they lack an emotional vocabulary to express themselves. For more information on the Emotional ABC's, please click here.
At New Hope Preschool, we are different from other local facilities because we don't require your child to be potty trained. Instead, we partner with parents to teach your child how to use the restroom like a big kid. Potty Tots is the most fun children will have when potty training! Their motto is based on the common toddler phrase, "I can do it, all by myself!" By encouraging this independence, children build confidence and self esteem. The interactive program features the adorable Potty Tots that sing and dance to teach the six steps of potty training. For more information on Potty Tots, please click here.
At New Hope Preschool, we partner with parents to conduct Ages & Stages Questionnaires (A & S). A California State recommended assessment tool, we use this to ensure that your child is successfully reaching developmental milestones. For more information on Ages & Stages Questionnaire, please click here.
In addition to your child's Ages & Stages Questionnaire, your child's teacher will monitor your preschooler's progress by utilizing the Desired Results Development Profile and will provide you with feedback during conference times.
